I have been coming here for over 60 years. I was coming when original owners were here and when current owners took over. Food is fantastic. The baked turkey wings string beans and potato salad is my go to meal. Breakfast country bacon and country sausage are both awesome. They give u enough for three meals!!

Get the potato salad! It is very good. Although I make my potato salad with eggs they don't and I don't care because I can add them if I want too. This is very good potato salad just as it is. The potatoes are cooked and cut just right, there is the right amount of crunch (celery,onion??), and they are consistent it has been good every time I've purchased it. Friendly service.

I absolutely love this place. I live in Woodbridge and I find a way to multi task and make my way here at least once a month. My favorite: the Chitterlings and the turkey wings. The potato salad is sooo good too. But back to the chitterlings. If you like chitterlings, you'll LOVE this place. If you love chitterlings, you'll break out in hysterical laughter when you see how much they give you. Well worth my drive and my time and my money!! Oh and they are so nice and accommodating too. All the neighborhood seniors love them too. And if you can satisfy a 70 yr old Southern Black Lady with your carry out food, you're really doing something.} {They closed for renovations once and I was depressed.}

Yummmm. Came in here for the first time today; was working over at CUA and had about 20 minutes to get out and get back and get fed. Didn't want Subway again, and REALLY didn't want to get lupper from 7-11 again! So I decided to check this place out. Didn't have time for anything complex. Ordered the catfish sandwich. Bread options were white or wheat. My expectations were low ... though when I grabbed the bag it seemed oddly heavy. This was an absolutely basic sandwich. Two slim slices of something very like Wonder Bread, tartar sauce, and fish. But holy smokes, they heap the catfish on that thing! There was a veritable mountain of fresh, piping hot catfish, dredged in exactly the right amount of cornmeal and fried just like Daddy used to make. This is NOT haute cuisine. But it's damn delicious.

A well known spot to locals but not so much to the general public, Heights Seafood actually has a limited seafood menu. However what they do offer is reliable. And that's saying a lot when it comes to fish and shellfish. I am careful about where I get my seafood and this place has yet to disappoint me. What their Yelp name does not tell you is they also have an abundance of other, hot foods, such as ribs, turkey wings, chicken (cooked several different ways--baked; fried; barbecued), pork chops, chitterlings, pig's feet, meat loaf, etc. Sides are numerous, including string beans, mac & cheese, cole slaw, potato salad, greens, lima beans, and, well, you get the picture. The full name of this establishment is "Heights Seafood and Soul Food Deli"; it's found in a small, nondescript shopping center near Catholic University (by Cardinal Stadium). Your mother would approve of you buying your meal here. The ladies who run the show are a riot. I chuckle every time I am in here. The prices are very reasonable. They've been at it since 1987. Take-out only; breakfast, lunch and dinner. My go-to is catfish fillet dinner with 2 sides and bread for $11.95--a deal for DC. I really don't want to post this review coz I want to have this place to myself, but I'm finally going to let the cat out of the bag.
